Hi, I am John and I work things out.

A dreamer and schemer, and lifelong tinkerer trying to make time for the things that make life interesting: creating something original, learning something new, and figuring out how to make ideas real.
Over the years I've worked as a library assistant, licensed Realtor, CNC operator, warehouse worker, UX designer, and interdisciplinary artist. It's an eclectic résumé, but I don't feel that a job title tells you much about a person.
The interesting question is not: "What do you do for a living?"It is:
What makes you feel alive?
As I try to answer that question for myself, I have taken on a number of projects for myself and others including:
- Building a screen printing studio from scratch
- Designing useful, functional 3D prints
- Nickel-plating custom guitar parts
- Painting giant T. rex skulls
- Making board-formed concrete pavers
- Designing logos, maps, and other things
Some projects go as planned. Some not so much. That's the best way to learn. I'm interested in the process as much as the finished product, and I want to share with you what I learn and what I make.
With support from viewers like you, I will continue to bring a mix of entertainment and knowledge while I dive into tackling new projects. I share projects, experiments, and occasional thoughts on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
Thank you for taking the time to visit,
John Everett Morton
